As we look back at 2020, one of our many accomplishments was accelerating the delivery of new capabilities that enhance the value of our platform and make our customers lives easier. Last week, in the midst of enjoying some holiday downtime and preparing for that virtual New Year’s Eve celebration, we delivered some exciting new feature updates to our cloud-based management portal.
IOC Search Capability Features
One of the new features we’re most excited about is our Indicator of Compromise (IOC) Search capability, which is initially focused on IP addresses. The search capability provides valuable context around IP indicators enabling users to easily see information including:
- What Country and ASN an IP is associated with
- Whether the IP is currently on a Threat List or Denied List and if so which list(s) it’s on
- Whether the IP was on Threat List or Denied List, which lists, and when it was added and removed from the list.
Users can access the IOC Search capability in two ways. The first is by clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the portal. This will allow you to perform a search manually.
What’s even cooler than that is the IP addresses in all of our Threat Lists, Denied Lists, and Allowed Lists are now all hyperlinked. You can see an example of this below in our Webroot Threat List. Simply click on the IP and all of that beautiful indicator context magically appears.
If you are not yet a Threater customer and you want to check out this feature, we’ve got great news! You can access a limited version of our IOC Search capability on our homepage at https://www.threater.com.
As we look to this year, we’re excited to keep the innovation train rolling. You can look forward to many more exciting new features and capabilities that will help our customers protect their networks wherever they are in a Smart, Simple, and Scalable way.
